The Health Care Authority (HCA) has announced the winning plans from its recent round of Medicaid procurement.

The BHT region will be working with four plans; Molina, Amerigroup, and CHPW for Integrated Managed Care (IMC) payers, and Coordinated Care who serves foster children.

Molina and Amerigroup are the two plans that have won a statewide presence for Integrated Managed Care in Medicaid in all nine procurement regions.  United has been awarded six regions.  Both Community Health Plan of Washington and Coordinated Care have been awarded five regions.

Each plan still must contract with the state and until that happens, each plan is referred to as an “apparently successful bidder.”  All regions must be fully financially integrated in Medicaid by January 1, 2020.
