In 2022, the Behavioral Health Forum allocated $1.2 million dollars of integrated managed care funds to initiatives that support the regional behavioral health workforce. Since that time, the Forum has been designing and launching these initiatives. Equity Training Opportunity: Reentry Simulation sponsored by BHT, 2/22 from 10 am to 12:30 pm
Explore the challenges and opportunities associated with reentry into the community after incarceration through this interaction experience. Includes lunch and a facilitated discussion following the simulation.
Loan Repayment Program Opportunity: The Washington Health Corps recently announced a loan repayment program opportunity. Under this program, health care professionals working in critical shortage areas will serve certain communities for a set time in exchange for loan repayment. Many types of health care professionals—in a variety of clinical settings—are eligible for the loan payment program. This includes registered nurses, midwives, mental health counselors, chiropractors, pharmacists, dentists, primary care physicians, and more. Washington Health Corps is accepting applications January 3–March 8, 2024. Register today or see below for more details.
