2025 Program Year - Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Funding

The City of Spokane Community, Housing, and Human Services Department (CHHS) has provided notice of funding availability for the program year 2025 CDBG program. An estimated $4,246,000 in CDBG funding will be available for eligible activities. To be considered an eligible activity, the following conditions must be met:

  1. The proposed activity meets a HUD National Objective 

  2. The proposed activity falls under an identified goal in the 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan, and a 2025 CDBG funding priority identified in the RFP

  3. The proposed activity must be eligible based on the CDBG criteria identified in the RFP

Technical Assistance is Required: All potential applicants must meet with the appropriate CHHS staff for technical assistance or attend the technical assistance workshop associated with the application’s activity before January 10, 2025. Please review the RFP for additional information and to schedule an appointment.

RFP Availability: The Request for Proposal (RFP), applications, CDBG program guidelines, and all associated application materials are available through the Neighborly portal, which can be accessed through the CHHS website

Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.


2025 Community Grants Program - Fred Hutch Cancer Center

Fred Hutch Cancer Center invites applications for innovative projects to address and improve social determinants of health among underrepresented communities in WA, including but not limited to, racial, ethnic, physical, and mental ability, gender, sexual identity, geographic location, income, and education inequities. Grant awards can be up to $15,000, depending on the proposal's need.

  • Informational Zoom Session with Q&A for this RFA (Optional) — January 17, from 12 to 1pm.  Learn more on their website.

  • Request a grant-writing mentor by February 3 — If you would like to be partnered with a grant-writing mentor for assistance developing a project and grant proposal, please email enddisparities@fredhutch.org with a short overview of your project idea and how a mentor can assist.
