Kastle grew up as a low-income kid on the Hawaiian island of O’ahu, where he learned early on the value of resilience, community, and kindness. His lived experience—coming from a family with limited resources, navigating a unique blend of cultural backgrounds (including Native Hawaiian ancestry), and being a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community has profoundly shaped both his life and career. He’s come a long way from the islands and now calls Spokane home. While Kastle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, a Master of Business, a national HR certification, and years of professional experience, he firmly believes that lived experience is just as important as formal education.
