Waiver Renewal Public Comment Period
We're excited that Health Care Authority is applying for another Medicaid 1115 Waiver. This month kicks off their public comment period.
This week the HCA presented on the next Waiver. Visit this Mentimeter link to view the presentation and provide written feedback. We would love to hear your reflections on what's worked well for the first Waiver and things that could have been better. Then share your thoughts on the three-goal areas proposed for the 2023-2028 Waiver. The link will expire on Wednesday, May 4.
E WA CHW Network
As some of you may know, due to recent shifts in strategic priorities and staffing at SRHD, BHT will now be supporting the Eastern Washington (E WA) Community Health Worker (CHW) Network. Our primary role will be to help support our region’s CHWs by continuing to host monthly meetings, distribute a resource e-newsletter, and website management. With various regional coalitions and community groups already in place, it is vital to provide a space focused solely on CHWs and other folks working directly with clients.CHWs include a variety of titles, including but not limited to Care Coordinators, Patient Navigators, Outreach Workers, and Peer Support Specialists to name a few. We invite anyone interested in this work to join the E WA CHW Network!
Our first meeting will be held virtually on Thursday, May 12, 1pm-2:30pm. Meetings will be held the 2nd Thursday of each month. Please email Vivian@betterhealthtogether.org or Hailey@Betterhealthtogether.org if you would like to join the distribution list. This is where we’ll send meeting information and e-newsletters. Thank you!
